About HARA:

The Huntsville Area Rocketry Association (HARA) was established in 1979, and has been the leading organization in the southern region for hosting High and Low powered rocketry for kids and adults of all ages) ( and on facebook:

We are an organization of rocketry enthusiasts and professionals who volunteer our time to conduct these launches. We engage with the local elementary, high schools and college universities, around the area to support their various STEM related activities.

HARA is a Chartered Member of the National Association of Rocketry (www.nar.org) and Tripoli (www.Tripoli.org). We strictly follow all the rules and regulations when we host and launch rockets regardless of size. We follow FAA rules and regulations and have a standing FAA Altitude clearance of 12,000ft. whenever we launch. Launches are held Ocotber through March.
