Light pollution disrupts wildlife, impacts human health, wastes money, contributes to climate change, and blocks our view of the universe. But it’s also the only form of pollution that we can clean-up with the flip of a switch. In this talk, you’ll learn how light pollution is affecting Huntsville, and what you can do to help save our night skies.

Bio: Joe Kutner is the Huntsville lead for Starry Skies South, an organization that promotes the appreciation and conservation of dark skies across Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and the Carolinas. He’s also the Vice President of the Von Braun Astronomical Society, and an avid amateur astronomer.
